How to guide
A great first step is to look through the Guide to GCSE 9-1 Geography OCR B Kerboodle. This shows you the content that is included with your subscription and explains how you can use each component.
It’s then worth flicking through the digital books. You’ll be able to find digital copies of both the Student Book and the Teacher Handbook. Students can annotate, highlight and add notes to their digital book.
Lessons and resources
Schemes of Work
There’s a scheme of work available for each chapter to make planning easier for you. These contain learning outcomes, skills practised, vocabulary used and links back to the specification, as well as showing you all of the content that is available for each topic.
Glossaries and glossary worksheets help you to embed key geographical vocabulary. The glossary worksheets can be completed independently by students as they work through the chapter.
Skills-pods animations with interactive activities help students to become confident with the key skills they need to succeed in Geography. Each skills-pod animation has an associated worksheet so students can practice what they’ve learned.
On Your Marks
Exam-style, level-marked questions for every chapter. The interactive On your marks presentation enables students to ‘unpick’ the question and to complete their answer on-screen. The On your marks resources include planning guidance, a mark scheme for self- or peer-marking, and three to five annotated sample answers at a range of levels.
Test yourself gives you interactive, auto-marked assessments for every chapter which you can easily assign to your students. They include 10 multiple-choice questions, with formative feedback for each answer.
Try assigning a practice question to your students. These are interactive versions of the Practice questions from the Student Book. Students complete their answer onscreen and their results can be viewed in the Reports tab.
Assignments found within the assessment tab, including quizzes, exam style questions etc., need to be assigned to a student for them to be able to view and complete them.
