This generator allows you to generate activity ideas to use with learners. Your input will provide a variety of activity ideas which you can then adapt for your own specific needs.

  • In the Topic box enter the subject you want to cover. You can also add a few keywords to clarify your topic by adding them after a comma. For example, for activities which refer to the psychological effects of lack of sleep and of eating in response to boredom you would enter The Psychology of Boredom, sleep, food
  • If you already have a handout or other document you like (Word or PDF format), you can upload it as further guidance.
  • Select the cartridge you would like the generator to use when creating the result. Each cartridge typically covers a particular unit or topic of study from the book; you can select up to three cartridges at one time.
  • Alternatively, paste the web address (URL) of a useful and trustworthy website. Please note that a minority of websites may not allow their content to be used or may be in an incompatible format.
  • Make the results appropriate for your class or group by choosing the learner age.
  • Select the number of activity ideas you’d like – we suggest allowing a few extras so that any that don’t meet your needs can be discarded.
  • In ‘More about the learners’, if relevant, select one or more specific Learning Needs. If you select Specific Learning Difficulties, you will be able to expand on these in more detail.
  • Click Generate and wait a few moments.

If you like the result, you can Save Result (so you can come back to it later) and Export it.

If the result is not satisfactory you can amend the entered information and Regenerate, creating a new result. If the result was somewhat satisfactory and only small changes are needed, you can Refine the result in the text box.

Recommendation: Once you have the results in an editable form, go through them yourself checking for accuracy and rewriting or reformatting to meet your own needs.
