This generator allows you to draft an outline plan for your proposed lesson, including topics you want to cover, any specific skills you wish to focus on, and any learning needs that need to be taken in account.

  • Enter the topic of the lesson you wish to create. This can be a simple phrase or can describe the lesson in more detail (put phrases in quote marks for clarity).
  • Enter how many minutes long the lesson will be.
  • If there are skills you want to focus on as well as the actual topic named above, you can add them in. Select Numeracy, Literacy, Digital or select Other to add your own.
  • Select the cartridge you would like the generator to use when creating the result. Each cartridge typically covers a particular unit or topic of study from the book; you can select up to three cartridges at one time.
  • Make the results appropriate for your class or group by choosing the learner age.
  • In ‘More about the learners’, if relevant, select one or more specific Learning Needs. If you select Specific Learning Difficulties, you will be able to expand on these in more detail.
  • Click Generate and wait a few moments.

If you like the result, you can Save Result (so you can come back to it later) and Export it.

If the result is not satisfactory you can amend the entered information and Regenerate, creating a new result. If the result was somewhat satisfactory and only small changes are needed, you can Refine the result in the text box.

Recommendation: Once you have the results in an editable form, go through them yourself checking for accuracy and rewriting or reformatting to meet your own needs.
